Dude, I had a blast! My friends are on their way to an after party with Lee right now.... and i'm here at home! wtf? i should have went with them!!!

Yes he did! And he's SUCH a nice guy too! My friend spotted him and asked for to take pictures with him and then the crowd followed and he was really cool about it! One friendly chap!
It was good seeing michelle, kris, sarah, mike, gehuz-wahwah, and sillysylvia and crew! :) |

more later once i've recovered. i really dug his set this time. so much fun and so dancable from the first track on. a super great guy, friendly, energetic, the works.
the after party was incredible, got like 3 more hours of lee spinning great tracks and talking to him in between. quite a funny guy as well, but then, we all know that huh? |

Well, first time at the Vanguard and it was fun! The place wasnt that packed(or so it seemed to me), the sound was sooooooooo clean and the vibe was great! If its like that whenever we have a chance to go there, I'll be a happy camper.
Lee so rocked it! What a nice guy! My husband brought him over so we could take a pic with him. I'll admit I'm not a gigantic fan of his(not that I didnt like him), so I dont know much about him. While we were talking, I mentioned we came out for my bday celebration. He said his was the on the 2nd and I told him mine was the 6th. We had a scorpio bonding moment. We wished each other a happy belated birthday and he left to get ready for his set. Then after his set, I just wanted to say goodbye and thank him for making me dance but he was like "hold on I'm coming down". We hugged, took a pic(which btw, I look funny as I was about to say something) and I left happy.
I just might have to go back in Dec. for another dose of Lee. We'll see.
I saw Michelle, Sara, and Kris. Good seein you guys. I met Ben, Julia, Matt and Karen(again). Nice to meet you guys. Karen, sorry for the name mix up...but atleast I got the first letter right. haha I was a bit "altered"(drunk and stoned) so I was stuck on stupid. :tongue2

okay finally, i'll give you all the details julia :D
so we get to vanguard early to get our tickets then head over to avalon to get our tickets for later then head back over to vanguard, whoo, i'm already tired. but anyways............
get right in to the vanguard, get our drinks and head to the floor for john and justin. their last hour was fantastic, they had the club dancing away. we go up and say hi to lee and talk to him for awhile. as always super friendly and so obliging to his fans. i asked him if he remember the shirt i wore back in september, my IT AIN'T GONNA LICK ITSELF white wife beater and he was like oh yeah, i remember that shirt and you, that's a great shirt! we chatted for a bit and then i saw my friend, crazy enough that i met on myspace who lives in atlanta and was out for lee, so i went to see her.
then on to the dance floor to get a good spot for lee. julia starts to have a drink and get all crazy :tongue2 i swear the anti-sarah. i wish i could get drunk off of one drink. but anyways, very expensive drinks at the vanguard but they have some of the nicest bouncers ever!!!!! all of them were so nice and friendly and would talk to us and laugh it up with us or maybe at us.
lee's set was really banging, great tracks one after the other. i think i liked this set better than the one in september. just seemed a bit harder and way funky. but always a great show and so much fun. Lee has definitely moved up on my list of djs for sure.
so around 3 or so we decide to head over to avalon to catch the end of robbie riveria. man the place was packed and tons of crack heads everywhere. the music was good and then benni comes back on and tag teams with robbie for a bit and then they end at 4:30.
so on a side note, never use the following pick up line: your breath smells good. WTF? i so started laughing inside, not in his face but come on really this poor guy was so F-ed up and such a meat head but at least he didn't attempt the penis dance.
so my friend from atlanta invited us to the after party with lee downtown and i was game and so were michelle, kris and ben so off we went. got there to see lee in an awful red woman's wig just chillin and hanging out. so funny. then he gets behind the decks and just throws down another great set for about 3 hours that we were there. he is so chill and funny. i started asking him about certain tracks he was dropping and he starts giving me the names and such and i'm like i'm never gonna remember those. so he asks if i have a pen and paper. michelle has a pen but no paper so he reaches into one of his records and pulls out the liner and has a seat on the floor and starts writing down a bunch of tracks for me. so i sit down with him under the dj table and we have a nice chat again while a long track was on. again, i wish all djs were are gracious as he. reminds me of joof a bit but much wilder.
anyways, so glad i decided to go out b/c as of thursday i was still not sure i was going out. definitely worth it, such a great night. the after party was way chill with lots of interesting people that i hope to see again.
good times, good times indeed. again julia you should have gone. next time girl. looks like i'll be making lee again in december.
so good seeing all the TA's that were out at both vanguard and avalon. missed you tigo, can't believe we were both out and didn't run into each other. hope to see you soon. now i'm still in recovery mode but it's getting better.
