Vanguard + Avalon = Badass night!! Benassi/Rivera review!!

What a ing fun night!! Me and my girl's brother left OC at around 9 last night to go meet up with Tyler, Jenna and Jesse then off to Jollyhood. We were all on both guestlists so we parked across the street from Avalon, walked to Vanguard at 11:30 to catch the end of John Do's set and the first part of Gourley's set. Vanguard has definately stepped it up a notch since this time last year! The system is second to none and the music sounds so dam good in the Guard. We said what up to Michelle and Ben then walked over to Avalon to catch Benassi and Rivera. Avalon was so goddam fun last night!
I got to see so many friends last night that I haven't seen in a while. Tigo was one of them! It was nice to see you again homey! It'd been atleast a year and a half since we last saw each other...back in the original Heaven days. I also finally got to meet Roman S, he's a chill ass guy. And of course, the regular crew...Tyler, JC, Jenna and Jesse! Thanks for another fun night guys! Tyler, you're a drunkass!!! :haha:
To the music...Benassi was dropping some typical Benny tracks...deep and dirty basslines. He wrecked a few of his mixes but his track selection was bueno. Robbie Rivera got up on the decks and started off spinning some older tracks then never veered from straight electro the whole night. For the most part I enjoyed his set but you couldn't escape the electro anywhere you went in Avalon. We went upstairs throughout the night and I think it was Kid Krazzy and Reza up there. Whoever it was first was spinning more electro. I love the upstairs loft and I don't mind electro but I wanted to hear some real house music up there like there usually is.
All in all, a badass night at Avalon and Guard. I'm thinking about hitting up the Canteen this afternoon depending on how I feel but I'll be at Wooldford @ Tentation on Thursday so see whoever goes there! |

| Hahaha what a fun ass night! The music was blah all night....but running into peeps i hadnt seen for years was awsome. Had a blast hanging with you guys, as always. We need to party it up sometime soon......NYE for SUUURE! I was kinda dissapointed i didnt get butth4xed by the drunk Tyler :( i was soo ready for a pounding..LOL good times. How was the Canteen the next day? My ass cant hang anymore... |

JC - I don't make it out as much as I used to back in the earlier part of the year but when I do go out I seem to always miss you. Anyways, thanks for a kickass night Saturday and muchos gracias for the drinks amigo! Catch ya on the flipside. |

I would have to agree with you on all charges! Vanguard was a great night of course, John and Justins set was really good. They rock the house everytime i've seen them.
Avalon was fun, really cool running into many people. Tiggggsta! Cool seeing you again also to let you know I gave Tigo in SF your number. You all should be nice to Ty, We have all been there before -- atleast he didnt booootate. Was a crazy night parying with greg and greg - the normal crew and jsiiii |

| Highlight of my evening is finally getting some of those certain OC peeps that would never set foot at Avalon FINALLY show up. They were fooled into believing Benassi was gonna get commercially cheesy....not on his watch. He was dead ON and so was Rivera. There is no such a thing as perfection so lets not even go there. It was fun and Tyler doing the washer dance was worth a look see. Looks like everybody ended up at Avalon so yeah! :tongue3 |
