Really appreciate everything Curly. I think I will bring a third CDJ, and our cycloops, and also bas' laptop to record the whole thing. Not sure when we're gonna get there since bas is driving. :p
Really excited about this though...I'll be playing a bunch of new tunes :) |

Awesome Curly! Can't freakin' wait! Did you know that Couchez is nominated for best lounge 2007 in the world club awards? Just found out the other day, WE'RE GOING TO BE PLAYING AT ONE OF THE BEST CLUB/LOUNGE DEALIES IN TEH WORLD!! Woo! Also, I'll need at least one turntable. I've got some hotness I would like to drop on zee vinyl :D

Just to give you a bit more info than you ever wanted to know: The two programs are great in unison, they arent really mutually exclusive. Photoshop is a raster based program mean it draws images pixel by pixel (pixel = minute square in the grid of the picture). Depending on your setting, you can tell photoshop how many of these little squares are contained in an inch of space. The higher that number the better the detail of the photo and the more space it takes up. Photoshop excels at photomanip because of this, you can doctor to your hearts content and easily meld to photos together seamlessly. But if you try and "draw" things you get what they call 'jaggies.' Drawing a diagonal line creates more of a 'staircase' if you zoom in really far.
Illustrator is a vector program. Lines and circles and shapes are determined by mathematical formulas that enable you to shrink and enlarge shapes as much as you want. Photos are comprised of millions of pixels (hence the reason you little hand-held camera is a 6.1 megapixel camera, the better the rating, the finer the detail). Creating crazy polygons and large text and just generally drawing is what Illustrator is excellent at doing.
The best graphic designers will use a combination of both. Because they are published by the same company and are so compatible with each other, you can literally create something in Illustrator and then open photoshop and drag your work from one program to the other...
