i know it's been a few years since i've seen either one, but i've always been a fan of J00F and CL.

But the "big shot producer" label is one you place on him. In reality, he's no different than any other member of this forum, with his own opinions and ideals, and in general I think you're simply misinterpretting his opinion as arrogance.
No one thinks twice when TA's who aren't "big name producers" speak their mind, so why should it be any different for producers?
