Remebrance Day seemed to have slipped away this year. Buried under the events of the weekend.
I just recently got an email from my highschool comm tech teacher, saying that our documentary will be shown tonight at 7pm on TVO.
Reading his email brought me back, brought me back into reality.
Remembrance Day means to me:
The stories of history
Building history, teaching history
Holding onto what has passed
Passing the message
Sorrow, grief of war.
Together making a difference
Remembrance Day is a time where two teachers and 25 students, showed that we can come up on top, even in a high school. These 7 veterans are ones that make you smile, make you laugh, make you cry. These stories are what bring the reality of war to life. They give us a deeper perspective of what happened. I was privileged to have shared this experience; the memories will always live on.
hope you all enjoy...
I forgot how proud I was of this Documentary.

I dont post alot .. but this is one thing worthy of posting about..
Excellent little Documentary. the intro to each scene is very similar to that of "Band of Brothers" .. same music and all.
Very well made !
"War was hell... always will be hell..."
"Remembrance Day is not a celebration of war... but to remember those who lost their lives because of the war"
Very Well said !

| Brilliant. So few actually think of these events in our history, and fewer still go to this effort to mark them. |

Great job Dannie!
something not related to this video:
it's so sad how little people in North America know about World War Two, and how little they care. :( |

What kind of angers me is the exposure given to the deaths of a relatively select ethnic group, while absolutely no coverage is given to the millions of others that have suffered just as much. |

Great video Dannie, thank you so much for sharing!
Seeing the gentleman at the end (George Lovett) from the Canadian Navy made me think of my grandfather, who has since passed, as he was also a member of the Canadian Navy. It was very sad to hear about the soldiers at the bottom of the ocean :( |
