Have you ever heard a song, even if it was just for a minute, that you fell in love with right away. I haven't had that happen in so long. The last song I remember liking the second I heard it was "Widow" by The Mars Volta. They are one of my favorite bands now because of that song.
What song was it for you?:gsmile:

Majestic when I first heard it.
The Fusion (Hawk Remix)
umm. Indina (Miller Dub).
Lot's more but those are the most recent.
Oh and of course Dilruba (JXL Mix)
DOOMBOT
MAS Collective - In My Mind (Undertouch Mix)
Bjork - Kindness Kind (Delikate Imposters Remix)
Tilt - The World Doesn't Know
nefardec
jonas steaur - castamara
tuned into ASOT randomly last february or march (i don't listen much) and this melody was playing over the fractal structure remix of point of impact. I was floored and the melody of castamara haunted me for months after until i figured out what it was and i had to wait even longer for the release which was like in june
before it was released i transcribed the song from memory into a midi file so that I could try to recreate it on top of that the track sort of coincided with the beginning of a relationship with my girlfriend of a year and a half so it has a lot of other meanings for me
then i had to wait until march 2006 to hear the track played live, by armin at decadence in the koolhaus in toronto. i actually made a huge sign that just said "castamara" and then "dank u wel" in tiny letters that I held up when I felt that armin might play it anyways. He looked at it and gave me a thumbs up and then a track later it was mixing in.
Then he took my sign and held it up for everyone and there was mass cheering, and then he signed it and threw it back down to me.
i like this track

Solar Stone - Seven Cities (Atlantis Mix) from a cream cd in 1999, i was on my lunchbreak from college, walking round the music store as i did most days, and this tune was on, I'd heard it somewhere but i stood in awe

Most definitely.

Seven Cities +1, that did it for me the first time I heard it on an Oakenfold Essential Mix back in 1999. And a lot of the early trance stuff I got into, like Another Way or For An Angel (E-Werk Club Mix) by Paul van Dyk, or Flaming June by BT. Also Hydra's "Affinity (Thrillseekers Mix)", Rapid Eye's "Circa Forever (RE Mix)" or Free Radical's "Surreal (En Motion Mix)" all Helstrip productions/remixes. "Far From Over" by Kamaya Painters, "Dimension" and "Eugina" by Salt Tank. Also add Bedrock's "Heaven Scenet" and Sasha's "Xpander". Some newer tracks like Digital Witchcraft's "Fingerpaint", Kris O'Neil's "Snowflakes (Allende Remix)", Kalafut & Fygle's "3579 KM" and Mark Otten's "Mushroom Therapy (Lightscape Mix)" and Probspot's "Foreplay". Usually anything with a good melody or ethereal atmosphere.

Yeah, I first heard that in one of the Way Out West sets from Hybridized where it was played underneath the Soundscape mix of "Muthaf*cka."
I love the way those two go together. :)

For me it was Special by Mew, well that is the most recent song. It was really trippy and different from a lot of stuff I had been listening to at the time.
I just found out they have a video for the song too and it won some award or something. If you want, take a peak.
