+1

dub mix rocks

Also, any tune that orig had no vocals, but someone slapped vocals on top later. (Ligaya being an example)

Seriously? I guess if the main melody was amplified a bit after the vocal it would be better but i stil llove the tune.
Iceferno
Can it be other genres too?

Trance:
4 Strings - Sunrise (They're just not needed!)
Armin van Buuren - Shivers (Spoils one of my fave Dream Trance tracks)
Gouryella - Ligaya (Great instrumental ruined by vocals)
Gouryella - Walhalla (Same as Ligaya)
Labworks - Two Worlds (Don't like 'em all that much. The Solidslide remix should at least distort them)
Ron van den Beuken - Endless (The vocals are ok, but it's better without imo)
Thrillseekers - By Your Side (Spoils the dreamy Dream Trance atmosphere imo)

House:
Haji & Emanuel - Take Me Away (Yuk. The vocals on Major Players' version are miles better)

Considering Jan Johnston has appeared on about a billion EDM releases that is a pretty sweeping statement.

I suggest you take a listen to Tiesto's remix of 'Flesh' or 'Am I On Pause' then rethink your answer.

'Aftermarket' vocals are usually pretty ty though.

Karen Overton - Your Loving Arms ( Markus Schulz vs Elevation Mix )
wonderful song if only they get rid of the "plum burning vocals"... maybe wont mind the rest becaues the bassline is insane on that song
Scoops
Junior jack - Da Hype
Kaybi
any Tricky song
Kaybi
tracking treasure down is a crappy song in general...

how can u voluntarily listen to and enjoy that ?

Well. ruin is a pretty strong word, but I'll say this much, 4-String's "Into The Night" was much better sans the "Take Me Away" lyrics, and the same goes for Fragma's "Toca Me"

Prototrance
Theres sooooooooooooo many of these - its one of my pet hates in dance music. My votes go to these:

Chicane & Power Circle - Offshore 97 - There was no need at all for vocals - the Original offshore and the disco citizens mix were fine.

Riva - Stringer - why why why why did they let Danni Minogue loose on this. Completely ruined.

Thrillseekers - Synaesthesia - LEAVE OUR CLASSICS ALONE:whip:

Fragma - Toca me - raped and turned into Toca's Miracle

Vincent De Moor - Fly away. Granted the title was asking for it but there was no need for vocals in this classic track.

Rank 1 - Airwave. I've forgotten what 'airwave' was re-named to as I have tried to erase the memory of it but I know some awful vocals were added.

PVD vs JPS - Found an angel. The worst of the lot IMO. And whats even worse is it was made by 3 people from my home town.

4 strings - into the night - great original got ed to death and turned into 'take me away into the night'

Bodyrox - Yeah Yeah (D Ramirez mix). I know its a remix but the vocal version of this remix is terrible. The dubbed out vocal stabs in the non vocal remix are much better than the screamy in the vocal one.

And now two I don't mind:-

Nalin & Kane - Beachball (Vocal mix) - Did no harm, I quite liked it.

Cass & Slide - Perception (Vocal mix) - I expect a flame for this one but I did like it. Probably because I heard the vocal version first.

lol

The lyrics in Dumonde - God music annoy me, and in Lost Tribe - Gamemaster. also Tiesto ft Maxi Jazz - Dance 4 life

I also think the lyrics in most faithless songs do nothing for them,
I find the lyrics in insomnia particularly irritating.
