"socio-cultural chasm"...
I like that, I'll have to use it some time... and hope that the people listening don't realize that social and cultural mean almost the same thing. |

Northern Virginia is not only different than the rest of the state, it is a different state. |
Well DUUUH! I have been saying this all my life. As a former NOVA native, it is always important to emphasize I'm from northern virginia.

You damn right.
Seriously though, watch out for NOVA. The development there is out of control, they are literally running out of land to build on. Its been that way for a while now and is getting worse. Arlington, VA has pretty much become an extension of Washington, D.C. |

Virginia Beach is still the best city in Virginia. I mean, our school systems is at the top in the country, and top in the state too. We have a great economy, with the tourists, over 4 million a year i believe, and lots of other great things. Its also very diverse in most parts. Northern Virginia gets the attraction because its close to D.C, but D.C isnt the best city to live in. Virginia Beach is also one of the best cities to live in if you have a family.
So I wouldnt get so hypered up about NOVA :D josh ;) |
