PS3 first impressions???

So has anyone bought the PS3. I will wit a few months but I want to know, for the people who have it now, what are your first impressions. Couple people I talked and who waited in line were not impressed. they said while the hardwar has great potential the game lineup isnt wasnt that good interms of gameplay. What are your thoughts.
But I'm gonan test it out tonght at a friends house. We ordere dsome nice wet burritos and gonna devour them with some plastic forks I bought instead of our hands |

well the launch showcase title should've been F.E.A.R. with high performance and high quality technicals, but that was delayed.
now, nothing matters except for Metal Gear Solid 4. EVER |

Resistance: Fall of Man, Genji: Days of the Blade, Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire, Ridge Racer 7, and Tony Hawk's Project 8 are all GORGEOUS. The first one, in particular, is apparently an AMAZING title, all around.
My recommendation? Pick up a Blu-Ray flick, too. There's a reason why you have a built in Blu-Ray player there, you know? :p |

| I'd honestly pick up a PS3 if I had a 1080p flat screen or a really nice and big TV. I wouldn't spend money on a bluray playing if I had a TV. |

| i played it at the tokyo video game show when i visited japan back in september. its cool i guess, it just has way better graphics and on the 1080p tvs. i played ridge racer 7, devil may cry 4, 10 player warhawk, heavenly sword and some train game. the graphics were really impressive but i didnt really get a chancet o play the games that much. warhawk was pretty fun i guess, with the motion sensor controller it was hard to get used it sort of but fun. The videos they had were really impressive though, for genji and armored assault core looked really cool |

| if anybody has had the chance to purchase a ps3, i dont think they will be hanging around the CORe exactly :rolleyes: |

We have a few PS3 buyers who are posting around the CORe and TA.
One such buyer is our resident moderator (for NY), kidnyce. |

nono, im saying, if they just had bought a ps3, they'd be more interested in playing it than sitting around on the CORe right now.. |

I doubt it.
If you sit and play with your new toy, nonstop, you're going to get bored of it really quick.
