bringing Nintendo DS to a bar fight

I'm going to my first bar tonight to catch UFC, maybe drink my first real beer, some soda.
i'm not going with anybody and i'm not mr Hats-backwards social suave "hi five jonny! ya! whats up! ya! ya! ya! ya! catch ya on the flip side! ya!" kinda guy. so i'm going alone and of course the designated driver.

I'm guessing some of you drive home after going to the bar or are designated drivers. how many drinks is proper etiquette so it doesn't look like i'm leeching their PPV but how many drinks is the normal max to drive home safely (at night)?

2-3 drinks over the course of the night would be fine for most people to drive home I believe...

heres my rule of thumb, if ur sober enuff to find ur car, ur sober enuff to drive over the median and peg a lil kid on a tricycle.

The road authority here suggests 2 standard drinks in the first hour and one standard drink every hour after that will keep your BAC under .05 (the legal limit here).
