Portable MP3 DVD-disc player recommendations

I need some recommendations for this, thannks in advance!

I am looking for a DVD-disc player the size of a normal CD player (or a bit more) that plays MP3s burned on DVD discs. I am not interested in the player's movie playback, I dont care about that ;-). Would be nice if it had some scrolling options so that I dont have to click forward 1000 times to the track I want.

Your recommendations and info is greatly appreciated!

In case someone's wondering, I do buy a lot of music, but I dont like carrying dozens of original CDs around, even a binder full of MP3 CD-R's is not feasible, especially last week when someone stole 2 of my Fabric CDs :whip: ... its a pain in the ass.

if youre using it purely for music why dont you get an hd based mp3 player?

There's no MP3 PLayer out there that can fit even a half of my music collection. I'd rather carry a binder of DVD-R discs and have something the size of a normal CD player to read the files.

And I am not spending/wasting time moving/adding/deleting files from a 30 gig or so MP3 player when it will be easier to burn them on discs and grab whatever you need and have the playlists ready so that you know exactly where everything is.

that's crazy dude. each dvd = 4 burnable gigs [out of the 4.7]. so just the initial upload of music on a 30gb player translates into 7-8 dvds; how many dvds do you plan on lugging around?

with a fast usb connection, the transfer time is minimal and certainly worth the convenience. do you really need to be toting your entire collection at all times?

That could get very confusing if you are unsure about what tracks you have on the MP3 HD-based player. Currently I have playlists typed up for my CD-R's and have a very neat database in Excel for my MP3 coollection and Discogs for my CD collection respectively. This way I don't have to spend any time moving files around especially during school and a binder with about 60-70 DVD-R's will handle pretty much my entire collection. That beats buying 10-20 MP3 Players - I'd rather have all my music with me ready to go when needed. My listening moods change quickly, and I dont get to spend much time at home. So a music binder will be much efficient, no time spending going through my database picking out the tracks.

So, anyhow, can anyone recommend me any DVD-disc MP3 players? I was surprised not to be able to find a single one online without those stupid movie screens (its too big of a portable luggage to carry, and probably a huge battery killer too)
