What are your thoughts? |

| I haven't watched it so I have no personal opinion on it. However, I don't see this as anything worse than Fox News, actually I see it as something good as it diversifies the media - especially since most other news networks are American or British! |

| I dunno, it'd be kinda tricky to bomb an office in Washington DC. |

Not if youre the CIA ;)
Be interesting too see if they 'Americanise' it.
On Al Jazeera if they tell you on the news that 2 people where blown up in Palestine by an Israeli rocket and 4 wounded (or vis-versa), they show you the pieces of them being picked up in bags.
It certainly has an effect on people watching... |

| Its a good thing...... to see both sides of an issue is always a great thing. |

Great thing, watched it already, to be honest it's better than many others. Doesn't have bull "entertainment news" and so on or the latest "great" (read tiny) english victory at some minority sport as first news item as far as I've seen. Also it isn't blatently biased either as far as I could see.
EuroNews is good too, gives a wider view in general. |

I'd actually find myself trusting what's reported on Al Jazeera more than most other American networks. Specifically ones that make decisions like Mark Foley's party alignment can change according to how it supports the story. |

Yep, about the only news I sort of trusted in the US was the PBS stuff. Most of the other networks where only owned by 2-3 people which tended too have their own political and popular bias.
Kind of lucky in Au as theres 2 public channels which are free to air and arent allowed too be interferred with by governments and private agencies, not always completely and absolutely unbiased but for the most part they are. |
