The shawarma place right outside heaven on the corner is fkn good go there. Also if you walk down dalhousie st a few blocks Milanos has the best pizza when you're drunk. |

they're all horrendous.
If you're there during the day time, make sure to walk on george street go to La Bottega, best fkn sandwiches you'll ever have, i swear the wops in there rub them on their greasy chests to add flavor. |

| yeah, right downtown. Go further west by two blocks and you hit our main shopping centre. Go across the street from the club (north) and on your right there's Pita Pit, good eats. |

Today was a last minute decision on my part to see Markus Schulz, ranked #19 in the world according to some website. My overall impression was so-so (tired of using 'meh'.. see TOTA threads).
Markus Schulz' set was okay... keep in mind I'm much more into house but I did like many of his harder charging stuff, reminded me much of Preach, some hard tech trance and some tech house in there. Not a big fan of the hands up in the air dancing and trancey breaks (sorry tranceheads) but I went b/c of my buddies.
On another note, Heaven has gotten the rep from this webboard (and probably beyond) as being sketchy, and at times I wondered if it truly deserved it. Well, tonight Ottawa put the über in übersketch.
'Total dregs of sketchville and it made you wonder if Halloween was around the corner, not Christmas. Kudos to the security at Heaven who are very much aware of some activities going on at this club and are taking strict measures. In fact, there was one washroom incident that I heard about tonight but I will not mention it here for various reasons, least of which is that I wasn't there to witness it anyways. Sheesh.

It's only a matter of time before the hits the fan with that place. Sound system is lousy, front bar should be moved or scrapped to expand the dancefloor as you still get fast service at the other bars anyways. Too bad b/c the changes are not difficult and they're getting great bookings and Ottawa needs an edm club in that location.
It was so sketch in there last night, it reminded me of those freaks in the Pentacostal church scene in Borat :stongue: |

I was extremely wasted so i'll just say what I remember!
Markus' set was good, not better then Stereo of course, played a mix of prog trance and hard trance....mixed with some other ...wtv:p
