so yeah... me and dad are taking up a nice little project. he saw an episode of Overhaulin' recently, (Pop Star Steal it was called, actually featuring Nick Lachey and his brother) where they worked up a '67 Ford F-100 truck.
it got him thinking about a '90 Ford F-1000 (the 1000 is the brazillian-assembled Ford F-100, that still uses the oldschool body and has a few other changes, i believe) that has been lying around in the shop for a few years now. it's beaten up, but the engine works fine. we're planning to basically put it in good shape, give it the same paintjob as the show (which kicked ass) and do some other sutff.
in any case, this will be my car when it's done. i'm a complete n3wb when it comes to car audio, and i searched but "car" is only 3 letters. anyways, i'm looking for good definition above anything else, i'm not really that big on bass. some bass, not too much. i know a bit about soundsystems in general, as i am a DJ, but i don't think sticking a mackie srm-450 in a car is a good idea :p
anyways, if anyone could point me in the direction of useful sites, threads, or just some general advice. i want something good, but i'm not looking to break the bank.
thanks guys.
c0r car audio summary: i want a nice soundsystem, i'm not a big bass addict, i want good definition, and if possible, not something too pricey. |
