well why is it trash.. how can you say that mike koglins enjoy the silence is any better then blank and jones tunes from that era as well. They're sound has advanced and kept up with modern trance. If your a dj and trend follower then you don't need to explain yourself, but if your talking about the actual composition of the song, calling it trash is not justifiable with your reasoning. |
lol
I do think it's true. This site will never get old with all those trend followers. I agree about RJT posting why he dislikes it. I always read something from him in these threads.
Other then that don't even bother.
You get 2 extremes on this forum.. OMG I DIIIIIIIIE or TEH SUCK.
Dj producers that their songs all sound the same - OMG I DIIIIIIIIE.
Blank and Jones - TEH SUCK.. Although their parties in N America have been the most fun hands down. [Koolhaus FTW] Fake EQ'ing or not it's better then half the out there played by the same 5 trance dj's that hit ur town. Or atleast I can speak for my town. |

Expressing opinions with a real reason why..
Or expressing opinions to follow the "trend" on this board in EVERY SINGLE THREAD

I'm certainly not disagreeing with that. The people who post the "OMG I DIE" blindly at everything their favorite producers churn out are just as bad, if not worse, than people who might infiltrate every thread of a producer who they don't particularly like posting nothing but criticism. I myself have been guilty of such behavior in the past and, as such, have tried to limit my criticisms when necessary. I'm sure you know as well as anyone what my thoughts would be in this thread, but I think it's best I not share them. However, when posters do actually take the time to listen to a song and comment on why they dislike a track as opposed to just saying it's I have no problem with that.

Neither do I.
As a persons comment on the internet isn't going to change my thoughts on that particular dj/producer w/e. |

b&j's remix of brightside is just a rework of the stuart price remix.
and this remix is horribly plain & boring. infact most of the remix of precious have been dull, Michael Mayers remix was the only good one. |

Nick warren plays deep, melodic progressive music. Blank & Jones produce uninspiring formulaic pop dance, I'm not even going to give it the title trance. This is why I was questioning why Nick Warren would play a Blank & Jones remix.
Blank & Jones have only ever produced one piece of music which I thought was decent and that was their remix of Humate - Love Stimulation. And I believe the only reason they managed this was because a decent riff had already been written. Everything else they have ever done has lacked originality, power after the breakdown and depth of production. Their main riffs are especially poor and don't have any prescence in the mix.
Mike Koglins version of enjoy the silence was well produced, used subtle layers to create melody, had a strong main lead (granted he didn't write the lead riff) and a solid bassline. This track still rocks dancefloors now - try playing Blank & Jones - Cream and see if the production holds its own - it won't. |

| Doesn't sound bad, and every dj here is guilty of touching eq nobs without having any effect on the music. |

This is rubbish. And I really don't need to give a reason why - it's Blank & Jones for 's sake.
