its still the same key...as in its still a "a sharp".but its a different tone or sounding a sharp.

| Can you post a soundclip because I have no idea what you are trying to say. I don't know how subtractor's knobs and faders work (whether 12 o' clock = 0 or not for instance) but are you aware that you have LFO 2 modulating the phase offset between oscillators? If the amount is -64 (as opposed to 0 as I suspect it is) then its going to sound weird. |

That would make sense though because the patch is called FMBass and it has the second oscillator modulating the frequency of the first. Phase difference is modulated by LFO2.
But erm yeah. I agree with Eldritch. This is pointless without being able to hear the sound in question. IT would be easier if you kept mashing a key whilst turning all the knobs up and down to see what effect they have on the sound. Keep doing this and reseting them to their preset values until you find out which variable is the one thas causing the problem you are experiencing. |

There is no phase modulation in that patch. The knob isn't bipolar, it's at 0.
It's the FM knob in the velocity section that's causing trouble. I know because I recreated the patch in Reason myself. |

Yes I did, i was more looking for a way to keep the fm velocity up without the sound changing.
Im at work so no sound clips for now.

Any parameter in the velocity section will affect the sound differently each time a note is triggered, depending on the velocity of the note.
Raise the FM knob in the oscillator section instead, and the sound won't change. |
