CDJ-200 / MP3 CD Issues

| I just burned MY ENTIRE music collection from my PC onto about 40 CD's with 7-10 tracks on each one. I decided it was time to rock out on my CDJ's and I noticed that I could only search(fastfoward) through some of the tracks. The others would not fast forward through the track and only say "VBR" on the display. My brain hurts thinking that I probably have to go back and burn all these tracks again as audio files. Has anyone had this same issue? |

| they only play variable bit rate (VBR) mp3s u can not set cue points, loop or fastforward. your other mp3s are encoded to a certain bit rate and these can be used just like a normal audio cd. |

They were invented when hard drive space was much more expensive than it is now. VBR 192 or more was roughly the same size as a 128, and that was a huge improvement for people on dial up.
Your comment essentially amounts to saying that whoever invented the 2nd generation iPod was an idiot. It was a building block to where we are now, and we are always limited in our capacities. |
