I hear people pronouncing these DJs names wrong all the time. I'll update the list when I think of more.

Ceballos is a a tough one. Most people here pronounce it Cheballos which is completely wrong.

Who knows the correct way to say it though? Depending on what part of Spain he's from, it's either si-ball-ohs si-bay-ohs si-baj-ohs. The "ll" is tricky in the Spanish language.

Good try, you got 50% right.:p

It's pronounced th-e-ba-yohs but like you said, it depends on what part of Spain he's from and who's pronouncing it. In the south of Spain virtually no one has a 'lisp', so if an annoying MC from that part of the country was introducing him, you would be right. :toocool:

i always thought it was a play on words.

biomehanika

biomechanic

You are correct.

His real last name is Mabuchi.

Heh. I thought it was too suspicious as a Jap last name.

Well, try pronouncing some Greek last names :p

I always used to say Sven Väth(sounds like bath) but appearently I learned a few years back its pronounced v-ay-th or vaith

The "A" i noticed has those two dots on top of it (ä) which is like some kind of thing to make the "A" sound like "A" I was told.

You still got it wrong...it's Chus and Ce-ba-los

There's no H is Ceballos!
Ni-Cd
hilarious thread... yeah, i hear chus is pronounced choooos (like goose, but with a ch-ssss), haha. Scary.

I've heard Hernan Catneo's last name said on the online radio as Ca-tan-yo. But it depends where these peeps are playing, the local announcers put their own accent/spin on the names.

A local that i got wrong for a while: Nathan Barato... pronounced his last name bah-rate-oh. Ops. Supposed to be bah-rah-to. :P
