Adding ableton to my setup

alright I have
2cdjs 800mk2 and numark dxm06 mixer.
i have a laptop and i want to use it together with ableton to throw some effects. how do i connect it? do i need another mixer i dont get it the connection thing.
do i need send & return? or what? |

| I think you would use send/return. After that you would plug a cable going out from your mixer into your pc (line in/mic) and then another cable would go from the out of your pc back into the mixer. How that is setup is all dependent on your mixer and laptop. |

Invest in the M-Audio 410 External Soundcard, it will make your life much much easier if you're using an analog mixer, and also a midi controller would be nessecary, there are lots to choose from and essentially all do the exact same thing.

Check the 410 soundcard in Products/Recording Stuff
and also check out the midi controllers since they'll make using ableton a whoooooooole lot easier for someone who is new to the digitalism. |
