Looking for a production partner
View this Thread in Original format

I'm looking to team up with someone because two heads are better than one.

So here's what I'm looking for in a partner:

-Been producing for at least 4 years
-Your tracks are pretty good(not still trying to make supersaw trance)
-Knows how to play the piano well and knows music theory
-Works with Cubase SX 3(would be a plus but Logic or Protools would be Ok. I dont know them that well)
-have an open mind to try new things
-Would be nice if you lived in Toronto but if not we can work together on the net.

Some of the tracks I think that are just ing badass are:

-Fred Baker vs. Keyboard Kids - All of us(Fred Baker Remix)
-Make you mine - David West(By the way this tune is freaking killer)
-I found U - Interstate

I'm into Progressive trance, but going for something like the above, and I'm liking the sound that trance has been taking these days. I do like the trance of the past but I feel the supersaw is just way too overused.

-PERSONAL INFO-

Been producing for about 6 years
strong points are sound design, percussion and basslines.
I'm good with melodies too but I dont have any formal music training just self taught, so it takes me a little bit longer to bang em out.
Dont have may tunes on teh net anywahere...but my latest remix is up at http://stems.sarahmclachlan.com/submissions/noel%20-%20sarah%20mclachlan(steve%20quadra%20no%20neol%20remix)_2006-11-15-09-36-53.mp3

you just came flying from the sky.. i need a production partner, using mainly Cubase SX, z3ta+, V-Station, Ravity, Albino 3, Atmosphere, and Trilogy.

I unfortunately have no knowledge about music theory, but i know what melodies i want, and like.

you can find my work in my signature.

what i good at:

Percussions
Arrangement
Good Ideas
Mixing

what im not good at:

Music Theory
Synth Programming

music i like:

Progressive House/Trance, Goa Trance, Psy Trance, Dutch Trance, and Breakbeat.

Good Artists:

Paul Oakenfold, M.I.K.E, Ferry Corsten, Sasha, Lemon 8, Vadim Zhukov, Pole Folder, Ton TB.

Track i think is ing badass:

Solar Factor - Urban Shakedown
Innerstate - I Found You (Harry Lemon Remix)
Vadim Zhukov - Silver Star
Madonna - Sorry (Paul Oakenfold Remix)
Sasha - Fundamental
Fred Baker - Welcome To A New World
Wizzy Noise - R.I.P Saki
Astral Projection - Chaos
Leama - Requiem For A Dream
Element Four - Element Four

i am looking to make original sounding track, good drive, nice melodies (not the stuff people call uplifting) tends to fall for repetiveness and simple basslines, and i like long build ups and most of my tracks span 9-11 minuites.

PM me if ur interested

sounds nice. would like to give it a try.
I've been producing for a bit over 4 years.
Use mainly SX2 and 3..but I like expending in term of seq's so I've learned Logic, FL, Reason and started with Abelton but didn't have time to continue.
main synths are Absynth, Discovery, V-Station, Albino, JP and a few more.
never studied music theory but I've been playing for quiet sometime and I know my way in that part.

my style - well, I never like to define something cause I like trying out stuff but it goes from chill out, break beat, ambient to techno, tech trance, uplift and many more.

I love -
Junkie XL! can't name one, there are too many.
Above and Beyond VS Andy Moore - Air For Life.
Fred Baker vs. Keyboard Kids - All of us(Fred Baker Remix) <- for sure.
Digital Witchcraft - Finger Paint.
P.O.S - Remember.

if you want to hear something or got any other Q's msg me.
(feels like a dating site now...lol)

You don't even mention what you have to offer, you just say what you are looking for in a partner. You'd probably get more responses if you listed your strong points. Basically we know nothing about you, and you don't even give any links where we can hear your productions.

Sorry dude I put up some personal info now.

Haven't been to those locations...I usually go to L&M on Markham Road. These days its all done online.
I think you can still get the accapella online at beatport.

If anyone needs a production partner, I can be of assistance!

I use Logic 7.1 and Reason 3 and I am vastly skilled at using them.

I may begin to use Cubase but I'm not guaranteeing anything on that.
