well, Croc Rock usually plays 80s/90s retro-cheese.. and yes, if you look under the age of 30 you'll be mauled / attacked by Teh Cougar Pack (group of five 38y/o+ women that always go to Croc looking for the young **** ).

if they bother you, say you are waiting for your gay lover. :P

there's velvet underground... it's on queen i think close to spadina area. on sundays they play 80's but it's not that great, i mean the tunage is alright but when i went we were the only ones on the dancefloor. everyone was all shy  amateurs lol. as long as you don't mind starting the party you'll enjoy yourself!

yeah i think i heard a radioshow from velvet underground (They are live to air one their 80s night i think) and the dj actually mixes songs fluently if ican recall.

that would be the best. but there isnt any huge banging 80s club?

i want to hear like

Dead or alive
new order
pet shop boys
men without hats

etc etc

limelight used to have a crazy 80s night before they got converted to afterlife

You can buy 80's music on CNN now. Why leave your chair and risk breaking a hip?

i go to velvet almost every sunday :D

Velvet on a Sunday:

it's live to air on 102.1 (Edge)
annnd, if you ask craig (the dj) nicely, he'll spin some 90s electronica/trip hop for ya.. underworld/bjork/etc etc. amusing that it is considered 'retro' now also.
cover is $5.00 but if you email/call ahead you can get on guestlist.

it's a chill place to go on a sunday.. much better than the top40/hip-hop at afterlife

If you're looking for a great '80's theme, check out the Hardball cafe in Milton. 1km north of the 401 on Hwy 25.

They used to do an all hairband night on Fridays...not sure if it's still going on but it used to be ace.

Don't let the name fool you, good sized dance floor, two balconies inside with bars, one outside and a million pool tables.

Worth checking out if you're in the area.
