This one is a little shorter than the last two and has a more triphop feel to it.

Hope you enjoy :D

I'm female. Don't think I forgot about you, still in the process of listening...
cannyshammy
eep! sorry hehehe

let's just say 'Hell Around the Corner' was an adequate prediction of what was to follow. i just couldn't get into the '2nd half,' starting w/ colorblind : / very abrupt change of pace, but this is coming from someone whos fave genre is triphop. take it with a grain of salt. most of the tunes were recognized, therefore imo something *extra* had to be done to make your list of tunes dazzle. i do wish the transitions could have been innovative/risky/creative/progressive/SOMETHING! but really what does it matter? especially when I get to listen to Tricky ;) please don't let my meesly review deter you from posting new mixes... i'd love to hear any previous, as well as be notified of any others in the future! i like this! there's alot of new sprung diversity in TA's Dj forums. thanks for sharing

*stealing your Harmonics pt. 2 now :p Iambic poetry really resonates.
cannyshammy
hehe np deedee thanks for the listen and review. It was mainly just a mash together of what im listening to at the moment. Have you got any triphop/downtempo sets to reccomend?

Cheers

Yes! Your Harmonics pt. 2 :p Where can I grab pt 1?

Also, it seems trip hop mixes are few and far between, along with decent forums. I just settle for my fave songs. I've really loving Halou and Anja Garbarek at the moment. Definately check them out! My all time hit though still remains: 12 Rounds - Pleasant Smell.

What sites/forums do you suggest? Triphop-music.com seems to be the most active, but I'm wanting to dig deeper than Portishead, Massive Attack, Sunday Munich, Tricky, Darling, Glory, Terranova, Morcheeba, etc. Some more: chillosophy.org and http://tripofagia.sites.uol.com.br/artistas-menu-en.htm but are unreadable... Help!
cannyshammy
cool, ill be sure to check those tracks out thanks deedee.

Part one can be found here: http://www.artificial-studios.co.uk/?p=87

and Part two can be found here: http://www.artificial-studios.co.uk/?p=113

I havent found many triphop sets either, the only thing that comes close are sets by an artist called E_B_A. I did an emule search for it and it came up with a coupple of sets and they are pretty damn good, the dj has got some serious skills. Let me know if you cant find it or dont have emule and ill host them on my website for you.

hey... i just did a quick search and came up with this site (EBA listed into about 3/4 of the page) http://www.shapelessmass.com/media/index.html

is it the right Dj?

cannyshammy
hi again,

Ye thats the artist, but they dont seem to list the sets on the website for some reason. I will upload them to my site abit laters for you :)

Canny

Edit: Just went through all the tracks on that XplodingPlastix site and i gotta say im realy realy impressed some very nice tracks on there, looks like i may be making a trip to play.com in the near future ;)

My favourte track i think is "18. March of dio remix Joseph Nothing" or "3. Sunset Spirals Take2" the vocals are realy nice on that :D
Deeedeee
hey thanks! ready when you are, im enthused!

if you like xploding, you'll definatly like Skalpel. Amon Tobin, Cinematic Orchestra & Daedelus also do some really really soaking, acid jazzish stuff.

skalpel - theme from behind the curtain

skalpel - sculpture

Amon Tobin - Easy Muffin

Amon Tobin - Slowly

lets just make this our sharing thread, shall we? your turn.
