haha cherry beach is alllways good after guv..... even when its snowin :p..
it was an ok nite, I got bored alot and ended up takin a nap while iw as at gallery (my first time nappin @ guv lol). Didnt stay in the mainroom that much, pete tong wasnt really doin it for me..kindda boring. Spent most of the nite at Gallery, which was ok.. better than the mainroom. |

Walking by the Drink line I saw Mark Oliver bringing in some metal cases with Airline tags on them from his car into the Guv side door.
I guess he must have imported some tunes for his opening set for Pete Tong.
Mark Oliver's opening set was great as usual. It matched the tunes Pete Tong dropped later on.
Aaahh the wonders of modern technology.
Watching the tech guys get Pete Tong's laptop connected to the sound board was like deja vu for Paul van Dyk in 2004.
It took them till about 1:25 to get Paul's equipment working then as well.
Pete Tong dropped a really good set. I am more into Trance than House, but the tunes played set a good beat to dance to.
Crowd was really packed most of the night..
Has something changed in the past month?
I noticed on several occasions security guys patroling the dance floor picking out smokers.
From one idividual I spoke to, they were going to kick him out for smoking of the dance floor, and took his smokes too.
Glad he was able to negotiate a way to stay.
Night was okay, met some people earlier on. Chose to go home around 4:30 due to crowd on dance floor.
Saw the sign by the guy who check ID saying BT was cancled. Was happy to see Pete Tong only.
Perhaps I will check out BT when he comes back again. |

That has been happening for awhile now. It's called "not being allowed to smoke in bars anymore" |

I understand that. And as a non smoker I do not like people lighting up in the bar. But I have not seen Guv staff activly stopping people in the past. Last night was the first time I have seen several people removed from the dance floor for smoking. Just thought something had changed recently. |

Nope...I've seen Guv staff walking through the dance floor for awhile now. They don't do it that frequently - at least I haven't encountered it that much...but they do do it. If staff sees you smoking, they'll stop you. Depending on their mood, they'll kick you out. |

yeah, i hate it when i'm dancing or something and all of a sudden someone blows smoke right into my face. It kinda sucks.
