Its not like day and night with the Tamron 17-35 I have, but it focus faster, in darker places and its an L, with better colors and 2.8 all the way. |

yeah i was looking at the tamron 17-50mm f/2.8. it looks decent for a $500 lens. but $2000 on an L-series lens to carry around a club? no thanks. |

I'm sending my tamron for recalibration and might sell it for cheap, if you're intrested we might work out a deal.
L lenses are water and dust proof, they're ing heavy duty. I can even knock out one of these annoying kids.
and it cost me 1700 tax in:gsmile: |

| Since I'm not much of a club photographer the 24-70 is perfect for me for everyday shots...I think if anything my next lens will be the 70-200L |
