thanksgiving weekend stories

so i went back to chicago for thanksgiving, but flying out of new orleans was a big mistake.
i chose to fly out of new orleans, la [~95 mile drive] vs gulfport, ms [~20 mile drive] because it was a lot cheaper. $230 ticket vs $450-$500. it was a direct flight; and was on AA not NWA.
so i get to new orleans around 6am thursday morning, and my flight left at 07:20am and the WHOLE F'N AIRPORT PARKING WAS FULL.
long term, short term, remote lots, cell phone lot, overflow....FULL. not a ing spot left. the best western and the hilton had overflow parking....FULL.
not a spot in the house. and i had 1 hour to find a place. so i had to bite the bullet and get a room @ the best western for the weekend....so i could park in their regular lot....without my truck getting towed.
so my $230 ticket turned into $450 w/ the hotel room, that i never even entered. i got the keycard from the front desk, and ran across the street to the airport.
aside from that, my holiday weekend was fantastic. ate a lot, drank a lot, and saw sasha for the 1st time.
anyone else experience "fun" travel stories? i know across the east coast weather must have delayed some people.... |

| I played Mario Kart 64 and pwned the bejebus out of Princess Toadstool on numerous occasions. There is nothing more rewarding than dropping an upside down block and hearing that B get blasted. Especially when you are intoxicated. Muhahahahahahaha! |

didn't do much. spent all day on thanksgiving cooking and hanging out with my mom (just the 2 of us). ate dinner around 4. then later that night i went to the county fair with my friend and it was completely ghetto. it was hilarious though. we got really stoned and went there and everyone was super thugged out and all the chicks were dressed to impress, but in this cheap, tacky gear...all the guys had grills and were standing around doing nothing but "hollering" at the chicks who walked by and the chicks would be like, "NIGGA PLEASE! SHEEIIT" lol seriously, we were laughing our asses off at everyone, it was pure entertainment. went in the fun house and on the ferris wheel twice.
oh and we almost got shot for a minute there by trying to squeeze in front of some other car while parking and they rolled down their window and started talking . hahah i was like, "omg omg, i'm scared, are they yelling at us? what should we do? omg"

next day, drove to tampa for one night to do thanksgiving all over again with my uncle and 2 aunts. it was short and sweet.
been shopping all weekend with my mom. found a killer pair of boots and another pair of really cute shoes.
about to go some weed at my friend's again and watch the da vinci code.
overall, my weekend was pretty boring, but i still had fun and enjoyed my time off.
next weekend it's ON like donkey kong! w00t! sasha live at space:cool: |

| Seems like a lot of people saw Sasha this weekend, I did too! Anyway, that sucks about having to pay extra, can't believe the lots were that full. Bunny and I went to see both her family and mine and I have to say, hers is WAY more interesting than mine. It was cool because I got to see a few of my friends/cousins again but my family doesn't like to drink :( |
