What did you guys have? I see that they updated the menu since we were there. Their tasting menu for lunch looks awesome for $48, if barosoap and I could actually go there during the day. Mmmmm... venison and foie gras for lunch. |

interesting...seems like we *share* similar tastes ehehe :toothless. when I saw the menu i was like omg i havent had venison in the LONGEST!!! :D and those two are EXACTLY what I chose as part of my four course prix fixe
foie gras/terrine (OMG), venison (me)
cerviche of diver scallop, black angus tenderloin: (drew)
muscovy duck/duck confit (i mostly LOVE duck in these type of restasurants because of the variety in preparation techniques so I agreed to share this wtih drew) - shared
portions weren't big but we were still stuffed to the pt after dinner where drew didnt even WANT dessert. of course, since I had already told the restaurant it was his bday, i *made* him order dessert! :pirate:
this was pretty cute.
next time i think we may just pick the 3-course cuz I left the restaurant feeling totally sick from eating way too much. The extra hors d'oeuvres, the extra lil desserts afterwards...was WAY too much. i ended up giving half of my muscovy duck/confit to drew.
oh man a tasting menu for lunch...:crazy:
btw i dont think ive ever been in a restaurant with such high ceilings before (well besides le Cirque <--and i didnt really like that restaurant...
omg i love love love trying out new classy restaurants :) ive forgotten how fun and amazing the experience could be... |
