I was looking at the berhinger BCF2000, but i got thinking perhaps i would be better buying a Midi keyboard with as many assignable buttons as possible.
I mean does a midi controller really make that much of a difference when laying down tracks? |

hey,
If u wanna buy some behringer then the BCF or BCD are gr8. If u wanna but a midi keyboard as u said then i prefer the new CME's they are gr8 pal and u have so many buttons as u wish :o .Or take a look @ the M-aduio Axiom midi keyboards are also very good |

My pro 88 seems to have endless programmable options. A bit pricey, but worth it IMO. (The weighed keys are nice especially for us piano players) |

imo, non motorised / non "total recall" controllers suck. seriously having to readjust all your controllers every time you open a project is really not fun. so that basically limits you to a BCF/BCR or MACKIE CONTROL ($$$$$$).
But, none of those work properly in FL. If you have FL, just put up with it and use your mousie :P
If you have cubase, i highly recommend getting a BCF and running it in mackie emulation. If i had no midi equipment, and had to choose between a BCF and a keyboard, i would put up with having to draw in the notes and get the BCF. I love them :D
...They've been on backorder for 2 months in australia though =(

i'm using a novation x-station 25. i love it. i haven't really hooked up to the computer. i still haven't seriously explored it's capabilites as a midi controller, but i really enjoy using it w/my mc-909. a million times better for laying down basslines, melodies, and backing parts than fooling w/the pads.
the x-25 also has a bunch of it's own sounds too, which is great. plus it's small, which made it perfect for my use. no weighted keys... but that's what a k2600 is for. :)
it's pricey compared to some of the other controllers out there, but for me it's really worth it for the little that i do with it. |
