craig only had (i'm guessing) about 4 partners before me. he lost his virginity late in life and was sexually repressed...that's why he is a pervert.

i'm definitely not being insecure about it or being obsessed about past girlfriends. i'm not the jealous type. it's in the past, i know that and i don't worry about him cheating on me or anything. i've been told it's a good idea to know. it's been almost 4 years and i jsut recently asked because i didn't feel it was necessary to know, but i aksed out of curiousity.
i don't see it as immature as long as you don't pounce all over the person for saying their number and yelling at them. |

Yeah I don't think there's anything immature about wanting to know either. I guess it really depends on your own values, whether it's something you need to know or not.
I personally think it's important to know that stuff, especially if you're considering settling down with that person. It says a whole lot about the kind of person they are in many respects, not just how much they like to bang. |

exactly. there are plenty of good people out there who have gone through a typical party phase (probably in college during the dorm room days) and had many partners. doesn't mean they are doomed for life as not boyfriend or girlfriend-worthy...or even husband/wife-worthy for that matter.
if you're settling down with them, chances are, they love you, and their past sexual experiences should have nothing to do with your relationship. if you're concerned about it for health reasons, then both of you should go get tested together before you start to have unprotected, monogamous sex. |
