Really pleased wiv this :D

Just put together a progressive version of Meltdown( Psy DNB Mix) originally it had been a Euphoric Track before i dnb'd it, now this is the progressive version...I'm really pleased with the breakdown and the drop which instead of building into a usual euphorik drop, falls into a nice bassy-sparkly riff :peace:

Melodic, Euphoric and Sparkly Progressive Trance, quite fast @ 144 for progressive

listening...i like the fx or pads in the background. bassline seems a little bland so far...the percs get a little repetetive. This reminds me of old school trance which isn't a bad thing. Something paul van dyk would play in his sets from like 1999 or 2000. Is it just me or is the timing on this off? Its a neat song.

You have some ok sounds and things going on. However you really need to beef them up. For instance your kick is way too simple...it is like a little pop where you need a thud...make it deep and dark. Your bass you need to tweak a lot as well, try to veer away from the typical kick-bass-kick-bass-kick-bass-kick-bass repetition. You also need to add more layers to your bass which will give it more depth making it sound much fuller. Your percussions also need a lot of work as well...they weren't bad they were just very simple. Did you make this in fruity loops? Because some of the samples sound like them. I think you need to go for more "pro" sounding samples. Its a good start though. You have a lot of good ideas banging around so keep it up!

thanx for your feedbak :D nope this was made in Cubase with Albino, VStation, Battery and my emuXL, the kik is ment to be clicky, i prefer psy style kiks, but it does need beefin up, i noticed i cut the decay off allot more than I thought, will sort that n bring the bass bak into it!

the Bassline has been driving me nuts, i originally had a psy style double bassline, but getting the sound right was drivin me nuts so I went bak to this one, theres 2 layers of bass and 2 diffrent basslines going on, once I get the 'proper' bassline sitting well I'll put it bak in :)

the precussion is ment to sound simple, but yep they need to evolve more thru the track for sure

I love the old skool sound :D actually my aim is to make more oldskool sounds mixed with Psychedelic....still workin on that tho, juz a noobie :D

where does it sound out of time? not sure why that wuld b...its all quantized midi lol

Just listening....

- I like the intro a lot
- Nice build up, although not too keen on that bass line (i have the same problem with basslines - they never seem right to me!)
- still building.... really nice melodic sounds
- 2.05 seems a bit empty after some nice build up
- its now 3 minutes, and I cant quite see where its going yet...
- 4.35 nice melodies - I know what they say about old school - but in a nice way!
- Im really liking this overall, a very easy listening track. I dont think its a floorfilla but something i could listen to in the car :)

Overall, really good - it has all the trance essentials, but it takes a while to get going IMO.

Keep 'em coming!

Ps - would you return the favour and review my latest track
