Nice one, Vivid & Jenny with the Detroit prank.
As someone who ventured forth to Toronto more than I did Detroit prior to my move west, you cannot say I don't agree with you on our sad state of affairs in the D.
*But* in defense of my hometown....
where else can you hear dark, dirty techno in the US? And I mean the good - like Christian Smith, Michael Mayer, Steve Bug, etc - they all come to the D before they venture elsewhere because we love our techno.
And DEMF. Paxahau got it right last year - stoked to see what 2007 brings.
Bashing Bleu is old. Truly old. Fack, even the locals have been doing that since it opened but it has to grow on you because it's the only big, steady EDM venue we have. And they do bring in the crowds.
In the meantime, BAD VIVID! BAD ANALPIE! :p |
