| i'd get the xbox360 at this point. i'd stay away from the PS2 until they get their straightened out |

| ps3 has formula1 and motorcross on the way. the screenshots ive seen of f1 are very hard to distinguish from real life and im 100% not exaggerating |

you get what you pay for. ill have an 8800 next month. hell yeah
in regards to the OP, just do a bit of research ffs. find out which games have gotten good reviews and sound like they might be your thing. then work out which system has the most, or that one particular game you just gotta have.
if you want the best of all worlds, you simply cant go past a PC. and if you love your racing games, PC steering wheels eat the console variants for breakfast. |

the main problem with PC is the complete lack of split-screen multiplayer games. |

Microsoft and Sony are losing money on each system they sell, so every PS3 and 360 owner is getting a lot more than they bargained for.
PC gaming is a lot more work than console gaming. I don't have to download any drivers, deal with hackers, boot up ventrilo, deal with crashing etc. The last thing you want to worry about after a long day's work is having to think if you have everything right to play games on your PC.
All I do is press the power button and I'm playing games. |

lol What he means to say he doesn't know anyone who wants to play split-screen with him.
Playing splitscreen with real life friends next to you will always be more fun compared to playing with them through the internet. |

| You can't be possibly arguing that playing with friends is better on PC's than on the console systems. |

split screen is tough to play on IMHO, that was the reason why I think CS was so popular, because you can play full screen in a multiplayer environment. I have a 40" and playing split screen still sucks IMHO. I'd rather play alone online with some friends yet utilize the full screen to myself, whether its console or PC. =) |
