True.
Even here in Canada, one of the 'presents' left by one our recent Liberal Party (not liberal) PM was a limit on corporate donations to political parties.
This is a rather large blow to the Liberals (and NDP; another Canadian political party) because most of their donations came from corporate entities and other lobbiests.
You're probably asking why would a Liberal do that to their own Liberal party? Good question.
Lets just say there was no love between two rival Liberal leaders and when one stepped down, he screwed the other.
This of course, left the Conservative party at an advantage since most of their donations are from citizens anyways, which to me, is the way it should be. |
