So, I had my wisdom teeth out today. I opted to go under for the procedure. As the doctor was putting the mask on me he said for me to take deep breaths and count backwards from 100.
Does the anesthetic not work if you were to say count forward from 1 to 100? |

Actually it doesn't. Your brain produces a chemical when it counts backwards like that. The drug used to make you go under can only work in the presence of this chemical.

Yeah, I think i made it to about 96. When I came out of the anesthetic I was having the best dream - not that I can remember it now. |

| I need to get mine pulled/cut out within the next year or two. I'm not looking forward to the procedure but I'm certainly looking forward to the painkillers. |

| In my last class (Written Communications), we had to do some 15 minute presentations. One of the girls had just gotten her wisdom teeth pulled just before class; she was all viked out, and everyone laughed about it. |
