Hey all Irish TA's
im a Toronto (Canada) TA or better known as TOTA. I will be travelling to Ireland for three weeks over the christmas break. Im leaving on the December 16th and returning on Jan 4th 2007. Im going to see some old friends who i grew up with. They told me they live in Derry which is about an hour away from Dublin airport. They also guraunteed i would have an amazing time, which i dont doubt since we'l have fun in whatever we do! I have already looked at the tourist/info sections of the site and would just like to ask some of you TA's for any general comments on:
1. Nightlife
2. Food and drink
3. Things to do/ see
4. How much spending money would i need on average considering accomodation and (home) meals are covered?
4. any other reccomendations on what to do/ NOT to do?
5. another confusing one is "whats ir local currency?" Pound or Euro?
Oh and where can i get PINT of the finest?
all help is much appreciated. |

I called my friends and apparently they use the Pound! Since they are 19 miles away from the United Kingdom they bastards use the pound. This makes my money even more useless. |
