Petition to make Remembrance Day a national holiday

Despite all the hubaloo the Parliament makes about supporting the troops and supporting the vets and whatnot, Remembrance Day is still not a national holiday.
Yet we have holidays like Civic Holiday, or Victoria Day which serves no purpose other than a day off to get drunk.
Let's petition for a holiday that is worth a good reason :) |

Why?
Quit being a lazy fok and go to work and remember there, soldiers in WWI and WWII weren't given days off from fighting nazis to sit at home, sleep in, and maybe consider putting a poppie on their jackets. |

You want a day off work, go ahead, but everyone should be forced to watch 12 hours of war documentaries on TV, then another 12 hours in war museums and everyone has to buy 900 poppies each. |

What is that lazy fok is actually a member of our armed forces who feels passionately about this and isn't looking for a holiday? Would you feel stupid for being so judgemental?
