wow, what a night!!
Above & Beyond played a great set and put on another excellent show. I personally enjoyed there first hour and a half the most. They are such nice guys too, very modest and friendly. It was once again a pleasure to open for them.
Thanks so much for all of the positive comments regarding my set and for the support during my set!!
I've been a member of TA for years and while i'm a part of this community, i'm being completely unbiased when I say the TA crowd (and NYC progressive house / trance crowd in general) is one of the best crowds to play for.
I play overseas all the time, especially in South America where many say have some of the worlds best crowds. And while the crowds down south are amazing, the TA crowd in NYC are just as, if not more fun to play for! Always such a positive, up for it, interactive, and fun vibe.
Thanks to all for making last night such a special night, i'll remember this one for a long time to come :)
zachias31: In my opening sets I usually like to start deep and build up to a couple big tracks at the end to get the crowd hyped and ready for the headliner. Last night I played a little different in regards to my build, and at the end of my set I played a couple tracks that brought the energy level down a notch to set up Above & Beyond. Glad you enjoyed most of the set!
tayama9: I do drop vocals from time to time, but now that I think about it, you're right, I didn't drop any (except for one very early in the night). I'll throw in a couple vocal tracks for you next time :) |

Jason you sooooooo destroyed the place man. Although i enjoyed Above and Beyond's set as much as i did, your awesome dark progressive house with crazy bassline is truly the style I feel more homely with.
Any ID's towards the end of Jason's set? What was the first track? My memory is :conf: Did a bookashade track get played or am i making things up? |

also i don't know if it was just me but was tony mixing for most of the night? i noticed jono every now and then but not as much...could be because i wasn't facing the booth the whole time but i was just wondering...well, jason was awesome as expeted and he dropped what's the point, which was awesome. |

Jason, I've seen you three or four times now and I think you're fantastic. To flesh out my comments a bit...There were moments during your set on friday when I turned to my friends with an "Oh my god that's so good" look or comment. It was just my frame of mind that was looking for super high energy at the moment. On any other night I would have been perfectly satisfied. My friend The Riddle disagreed with me totally, he was in heaven the entire time and thinks I'm nuts.
That said, thanks so much for commenting. I can't explain how WEIRD it is to get a personal response from a DJ.
I keep my eye out for your show listings and will continue to go see you, as an opener or a headliner. See you at the next show.
