I may get one around the end of the year.
My biggest questions are:
pixels .... is the image quality ok?
does it need a lot of upload bandwidth to operate?
Particular things you hate about it? or love ( apart from the obvious primary reason ... remote tv viewing ) ?
still working on trying to find someone state side to plug in the little beast into their setup permanently so I'm not 100% positive I will be purchasing one. |
Sorry above response, i was on the phone and my thoughts started to clash with my phone conversation
The image quality is 'OK', i wouldn't say it's the best. You'll need sufficient bandwidth on both the transmitting and receiving side.
I currently have it setup such that I can watch at work and on my laptop. There are these neat infrared connectors that sit under your cable box that allows you to control your cable box through the internet interface.
It doesn't connect to a website, you need to download their program (especially for handheld devices). The PSP sling isn't all the easy because you need to tweak the video mods to get it to play right, and use a third party program to connect to it. It's do-able but not that great. There may have been some advances with these new slingbox editions that recently dropped, I have an old version, the first series. |
