GO GATORS!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO! Like I said in the sports forum, it's the way it should be! The champs of the 2 best conferences play each other! To be honest, I'm a big Buckeyes fan too so to see my 2 teams go against each other is sweet! Gonna be some sweet bowl games this year!

I wish LSU/Oklahoma would play and Boise St./ND :p That be a sick bowl lineup

I think the real matchups will be really good. Okla/Boise St is a good matchup and LSU/Notre Dame is a game of opposites. LSU has tremendous D but horrible O where ND is the other way around.

LSU quarterback Jamarcus Russel was the highest rated quarterback in the SEC, threw the 2nd most yards and had two receivers in the top ten. Their runing game was far less fearsome, but they are an efficient and potent offense. I think they will destroy Notre Dame who (sorry guys) should not be in a BCS game. Oklahoma proved to be a pretty good team as well despite losing some key positions. If they win the game against Oregon, they have a legitimate claim to the title game as well as Florida. The added bonus that Adrian Peterson might be back makes the matchup all the more tantalizing.

One thing I hate about the BCS is that they retain the traditional matchups. In some cases (michigan/USC) it works....in other cases (Wake Forest/Louisville) I feel it fails. I think Louisville/LSU or Oklahoma/LSU would be much better games. Also, does LSU ever not play the Sugar Bowl?

If i had to retain the same teams, Id line them up like this.
BCS Sells their soul game: Ohio State vs. Florida
Rose Bowl: Michigan vs. LSU
Sugar Bowl: USC vs. Louisville
Fiesta: Oklahoma vs. Notre Dame
Orange: Wake Forest vs. Boise State

Well the good news is somehow the OSU - Florida game isn't the biggest potential blowout. Iowa drew Texas in the Alamo Bowl :wtf:

Oh, and not many people have said it yet, but Wisconsin got screwed by the BCS.

Who did UW play this season? No one worth mentioning...

Well, I can't say I was really keen on the idea of a rematch. So that's good, I guess.

But at the same time, I think it kind of takes away from the integrity of the polls. I mean, the idea is to rank the teams 1-25 on how good they are, not based on what order will create a specific bowl match-up that you personally find preferable. And I don't see how a lackluster win over Arkansas could have convinced anyone that Flordia is genuinely a better team than Michigan, which arguably lost by less than home field advantage is worth to the #1 team.

Just more fuel for the playoff fire, I guess that's a good thing.

It's all about the papajohns.com bowl baby.

True, but who did Notre Dame beat? They lost the only two decent games they played.

Ohio State will make quick work of Florida. Thats just the way it is. I can't see it happening any other way.
