Not saying this guy isn't good cause really he is ... but that is far from being impressive to me at least.

I have seen tons of videos of concept design, matte painting, surface rendering and the likes.
Now that stuff is truly badass!

Check out some top notch stuff here:

I've personally tried to get into speed painting but I stopped it's too much and I'm not properly equipped .... I need to get a graphic tablet first

You don't understand the limitations of MS Paint, against the pics you just posted. Furthermore, which were probably produced with much higher-end software.

using photoshop facilitates the process no doubt with the possibilities of layering etc but I can assure you the pics I posted could very well be done in MS paint or hand drawn as well :p

There is absolutely NO way whatsoever that the second and third picture you posted could be done in MSPaint. Absolutely no way in this world.

Theoretically yes. Practically - I'd say it's not possible though. Imagine adding one pixel at a time, and having to select the precise colour/shade from the custm pallet. Imagine trying to create that effect with the sun casting light onto those clouds using that method......

I don't think it could be done. But yes - you are right, in theory it's possible.
