Hey Trance-addict,
I´m currently applying for an internship in ireland.
However, I dont have a clue whats the cost for living in ireland, I just heard thats its more expensive than in Germany. Whats about health-insurance? Is it legally prescribed?
And of course the major question, whats about with the trance-scene?
Thanks for answers. |

I think the trance scene involves getting on a plane to England most of the time :)
As for Cost of living, it was expensive last time I went there especially around Dublin. |

As I know that English is just the second official language I would like to know if English is rather spoken in companies than Irish? |

Officially Irish is the first language, but I can say for 100% sure you'll probobly never hear anyone speak it, unless you ask them to. Its on signs too, but bilingual with English. Noone over here speaks it, except for small places in the west. But everyone has to learn it in school.
In other words, dont worry about the language :D |

Hehe, thats nice to hear :)
I hope Irish people will speak slowly and clearly when they speak with foreigners, or dont they ? :D
On business issues I have often talked to Scottish people, I really had problem to understand that, because its not really English :D
Its like I speak to people of my village and someone from outside of Germany would try understand what we are saying. Schaebisch isnt German, so I hope they will respect foreigners disabilites in the speech :) |

if foreign people don't understand us we open our mouths wider, point at random things and talk slowly.
also, we've got a fairly decent trance scene here in dublin. we've had 20-30 diff semi-big to big names here this year
alcohol doesn't come cheap here.. nothing does really =p so cost of livings a bit above average
edit: if you're coming to dublin, we're the easiest to understand in the country =p i can barely understand non-dublin accents |

dont think so your one of the hardest to understand. either dublin or cork. you talk like travellers :tongue2
trance scene is rather in ireland but probably better in the north with the likes of kellys and shine. but scene is more techno than trance. |

lol:D
I work for a big IT company, so the payment will appropriate. ~ 1300 € per month. Will that be enough for normal live in dublin?
well, i stopped smoking for couple of years, so i dont care about the cigaretts prices, but i will care about if the drinks are expensive:D |
