easy to use programs to author DVD's

| i have a bunch of avi footage from a gig i played at last friday and i want to put it into a dvd. what is some good easy to use software to cut up avi files and then make a dvd with the menus etc etc.... |

Virtualdub ( free )
concerning the dvd authoring you might have something that already handles that ... check your cd/dvd burning software
otherwise easy and free is Avi2Dvd

final cut pro
although there are alternatives to using FCPro, just think thats a widely used application. I'm sure there are other programs out there that can do what you want it do (if not better), I just don't know of them. |

FCP is great but it's mac only and you have to pay big bucks for it. |

you pay big bucks? cmon jdat i'm not a newb now..you should know me better than that...but as stated, yes I'll need something similar to do the above as I just purchased a macbook.
Something sweet that can run on a macbook since FCP can only run on a MBPro. |
