maybe use http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.5/ or one of the other available licenses. im sure some will not follow those licenses, but I'm not a fan of watermarks either :(

Yeah, that's the catch, there will always be someone who will ignore it...at least with the watermark, it will take work to get rid of it if someone wants to steal it, especially if its in the middle. Any side credits can easily be cropped out.
On the plus side, one of the big things Giant plans to do is use my photos to the full extent...so you can expect to see them (possibly) at the 2AM Hollywood website, a gallery on the upcoming Insomniac website AND the first ever gallery (finally) on Giantclub.com...so those watermarks will probably be less intrusive :) |
