I'm not trying to rag on halo 3 specifically, but I really don't like these kinds of trailers. Almost the exact same trailer could have been used to advertise Halo or Halo 2. It doesn't show anything about the game itself.

exactly. pretty, glossy "intros" have been coming out for years, this shows nothing of importance.

I read an article with some Bungie guy, and he said that trailer is 50% real and 50% CG. The part where the camera rotates around Master Chief and stops at the gun and the part at the end when he rushes toward some enemies, you can tell those are real in-game graphics.

Oh yeah? Wait until the next Metal Gear Solid game comes along...or the next Gran Turismo for that matter...or...well enough. PS3 will definitely be getting its fair share of killer aps.
On another note, forget Gears of War. If there was ever a reason I'd buy a 360, Halo 3 is it.

nah none of it is in game. The CG parts were done by an external animation studio, though they did use bungie's assets (basically the spartan, gun, enemy,and warthog models.
