im working on a piece at the moment. but have hit a dead end.
im trying to employ some type of electronic/electro feel to it by adding an arped electo melody to follow the bass.

any suggestions on where to take it??

i listened 5 times before i posted this review. i like the dark feel in this tune, + the percs are very nice, the vocal/perc fits well to. :)
i think maybe a nice darkish piano synth/melody would fit nicely in here.
i like the background bleeping effect at around 1:58. the bassline very dirty straight forward. very cool! overall the tune is very good, and dont really have any negative comments. i think a piano synth would fit well in a breakdown. and then maybe give it a uplifting feel by slowly building up the piano synth to a eletro'ish type of synth. don't really know how to explain it.. anyway keep up the good work, im looking forward to the finished version! :)

Like the dark atmosphere, pretty ghosty! Think it could fit to make it more ghosty with some effects, whispers and maybe a high note vocal. Keep working on it! :)

I love the athmosphere of the track, the texture does it job really good. But i d change the bassline to something more "calm" and deep.
The vox are funny i think :)
I like the background sounds a lot too. The *beeps* are really cool.
But then, you are right about the dead end. I d prefer a new synth to play a nice hookline and probably some more drumming. How about adding vocals there combined with a new pad?
Just my thoughts!

This is great mate, as i told you i love the whispering vocal you made.
The track has the same kind of atmosphere as your older tracks, the first i heard from you and its great to hear! I love the atmosphere.
Very well produced so far and i am seeing forward to the full.

as said it sounds like your older stuff rich only with a much better kickdrum.
very dark atmosphere wtih minimal percs works quite well. anymore percs in this i think would flood the mix too much.
love the whispers
on what to do next id say some variation in melodies. also get one of those bassy synths ive heard in your tracks. i really enjoy them.
all the levels seem very clean so no complaints there.
look forward to final mix. |
