| Julia, it's blocked at work for a reason. I'm 100% certain that the myspace domain is blocked at the server level, you're not getting past it. Ask your Network Admin to change it. He won't, but you can still ask :p |

there are 2 kinds of proxies out there...
the PHP proxies I believe cannot log into sites but you can surf any page otherwise...
CGI proxies can however log into sites like myspace...do a search for CGI proxy and you should be able to get into myspace at work.
it won't matter if they block it at the server level - as long as that particular proxy domain isn't blocked, you can get in... |

| We THANK all computer geeks who can help beat the system! LOL... I don't have any problems now with my company blocking websites but if I ever move onto another company, I will be sure to post here and ask for some advice. Good ! |

There's a way to log into myspace at work by using the Remote Access feature of NetMeeting (s/b installed on all Windows XP computers) to access your home computer. The only server activity seen by your employer is that you have connected to a remote computer via one of their ports, but no other info is available. How you explain this activity is entirely up to you. :p
How to:
1. On your home computer, open Netmeeting and turn on the 'Activate Remote Desktop Sharing'. Go to the help section and write down your IP address.
2. On your work computer, open Netmeeting and place a new call. Enter your IP address and check the box next to 'Require security for this call'. Your work computer will then attempt to access your home computer. If a userid/pswd is required to log in to your home computer (also for screensaver passwords), you will be prompted to enter it. Then you will have remote control of your home desktop on your work computer. Remotely open up your home internet browser and start surfing your favorite porn sites! lol |

your forgetting that the recieving end must ACCEPT the call. this would not work. the best way would actually be to use some VNC server and application and setup the security. |

Actually I do this every day at work, since IM and myspace are blocked ;)
Edit: if you don't have Windows XP on your work computer, you'll have to download this: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/tools/rdclientdl.mspx |
