Solid Globe - North Pole vs Sahara

Fundamental Recordings has done what everyone on TA loves most. Remixes of tracks everyone is already familiar with :D
First Alex Morph has done a mashup between North Pole and Sahara, and second Thomas Datt has remixed North Pole.
The mashup didn't work for me, but your mileage may vary.
A few listens of the Thomas Datt mix and i'm not quite sure what I think. Doesn't grab me instantly like the original did, and is different enough for me to not even relate the two, but having said that it has some nice synth selections and the overall track's progression is quite appealing as it takes the track in different directions throughout its 9min runtime.
These samples are pretty bad, I'd suggest you check out the higher bit ones at Audiojelly.

Haven't heard the Datt remix but I'm liking the Morph mashup, especially the breakdown.

Listened to the Samples at Audiojelly and I can honestly say M.O.R.P.H.'s mashup does an absolutely amazing job of ruining both these tunes. Absolute garbage - It really just sounds like he tried to mash as many different noises as he could into one tune, and then layered the melody from "North Pole" over it all. Absolutely pitiful. Sounds amateur.
Datt's remix, on the other hand, I really enjoy. Makes me want to play some trance again! :) I really like the extra kind of bouncy synth he's got running in the background, really helps the tune chug along, gives it a whole new vibe. Even though it's only the sample, I'll say that even if it doesn't do anything more/go anywhere else, it'd be a great transitional tune. Very well done |

Datt's North Pole remix is actually an updating/reworking of his 2003 mix.

This is pure bull, like most trance nowadays.

Combining two crap tracks rarely makes either of them any better.

Im not even going to bother listening. These two tracks were pretty good a few years ago and I'm happy with them as they are. To hell with any new versions.
