i dont know about the newest ones but i do know that most of the ones corporations use are not able to edit them.
chris: i dont like that trackball either. i used it the other day and its better than the scroll wheel in a way but i like to be able to use 1 gesture to run what i want to run. i even like palmOS based devices better than the BB and that says a lot since i HATE palmOS also. |

bb is meant as a collaborative device not as a mobile office.
push email, calender, tasklist, maybe a few songs here and there on a pearl.
you can get email and probably view documents but i don't see anyone editing anything on that small keypad.
if you feel like getting frustrated with a device and still being able to view/edit powerpoint, word and excel then I would suggest a Windows Mobile pocketPC.
BB is fine for me, I get personal email, work email and I can google. I am perfectly fine with the MNML and I love not having a $60 phonebill. |

| get a Treo, my bro has one and it's awesome. It can store gigabytes and the sound quality on the speaker is almost good! Not to mention it has a huge screen and QWERTY with stylus and windows mobile. |

| Tough choice here but i definitely like the size of the BB Pearl better. That treo seems really bulky but the full qwerty, stylus is a huge plus. |

I dont care about email and ...I just want a phone that I can throw at a concrete wall without it breaking, and that has a good antenna/signal reception.
I have a computer and a nice camera for the rest... |

well then Dave do it the hard way - view the image property or copy and paste into PS, no matter what it should give the saved dimensions on any screen resolution :D :haha:
anyhow I thought about the 8800 but I like the camera feature for simple things like if I got into an accident etc etc, as for the full qwerty, I hate text conversations anyhow if it got to the point where it requires a conversation, then I prefer a phone call. Of course I can see how that would benefit me since I just loaded gmail onto this thing, but I still don't expect to ever reply back with probably just a couple of sentences. Just the mere fact its a music player, camera and a small device that executes plenty of tasks...great =) my laptop will do the rest
the 8800 probably won't come out to mid or late next year, from what I understand that will be another T Mobile exclusive for at least 90 days |

I'm in the wireless industry and this unit is by far the best Blackberry I have ever used!
I'd get this one over the treo because the push technology on the email is phenomenal!
It has a micro sd expansion slot. You can load your movies on that thing and it's awesome to watch the office on your pearl! |

The pearl has SureType technology. Much better than a stylus imo. |

Umm, our work distributes Treos and they have push email on them. Maybe they use some special software, I dunno!
Considering asking for one. I could get it. But then they know they can always get a hold of me...not sure if I want that.
