Hey guys. I just finished this track up for the most part. Probably some level issues and eq need to be done, but i can't turn my speakers up at the moment so i'll fix that tomorrow. Anyways, i would love some feedback. I was going for something with a lot of energy that would make you move. Let me know what you think. Thanks and all reviews will be returned.

hey mate, tnx for the review. here's mine! :p
kick is nice and clear, i like how you synthesized the synth at 0:55.
i think the vocal sounds a lil bit to loud, maybe change the bassline after the crashing effect to give it a more uplifting feel. breakdown at 1:55 is very chill, moments like that in a club are always nice. i like the main synth at 1:30. nice beats 3:40.. overall a nice tune. maybe try and add a 2nd bassline. and some more percs throughout the track. i like the uplifting feel your trying to give. good work.

| Thanks a bunch for listening Bidor. That synth at 0:55 is one of my favorite parts of the track. I agree that the vocals should come down some, i just wasn't entirely sure because i'm having to listen so quietly atm. Do you have any suggestions on what to do with the bassline to make it more uplifting like you said? There actually is a 2nd bassline, but it has gotten lost in the mix. i'll have to go back and bring it out. i'm trying to figure out some more good percs right now. anyways, thanks a lot for your review. its very helpful. |

maybe try and make the 2nd bassline more upfront and change the keys a bit more, the first one sounds a bit flat..
i think "Congo" percs would fit nice in this one, thats just my opinion.
i also like the bass dropping effect in the tune, its nice. :)
looking forward to the full version.

Its funny that you say that congas would sound good. They are actually already in there, but they are extremely low. I lowered them alot because the ones i have i dont like that much, so i'm in the process of searching for samples. I'll see what i can do with that bassline. |

Thanks for listening akia. I've gone and beefed up the bass and added some percs. I think it has more drive now. Let me know what you think.

cool track dude, there was a couple of things which could of been better about this track...the main lead sounded a little cheap for my taste, could of been a bit more 'thicker' and harmonically richer :)
i like the melody and the acid sub-melodys, those were pretty cool.
percussions were alright i guess, nothing spectacular but pretty good reguardless. mixdown sounded good on my system but it could of done with a little boost in the high region.
other than that, pretty original tune, production wasnt half bad either.
keep up the good work!

| Thanks for your comments killdadj. I appreciate you taking the time to listen. I'm still working on getting my percs just right in my tracks. I've only been producing for about 6 months or so, so i've got a ways to go. Anyways, thanks for listening, its always nice to hear that people don't entirely hate what i'm doing. |

Great foundation for a driving energetic tune, now let's get some filler in there! It's screaming for some synth layering and some melody accompanying stabs. I really like the up and down melody patterns. It seems to float in and out of the scale. I really like that! The mixdown seems a bit flat for my ears, have you eq's this quite a bit? Could just be me but it seems to suffer from the hill'n'valley syndrome (lots of lows and highs with little mid.. perfect for your friday night hookup, but not so much for trance :))
All in all dude, I would say bang up job! let's get that baby mastered and you'll be looking at a pretty decent track!
Good job! |
