i just think its funny that someone that likes edm, hangs out on an edm website, goes to his fair share of edm parties- complains that he experiences too many wannabe DJs ;)
its kinds like going to maccas and complaining about the fat chicks you see stuffing huge handfuls of lard into their chubby faces. |

Think about how many EDM nights there are in Melbourne on any given weekend and then think about how many DJs are needed to fill all the available spots. They can't all be superstar DJs, but someone has to fill the demand. If you think there are too many mediocre DJs out there at the moment, then blame the undiscerning punters who pay their wages, not the DJs themselves.
Besides, in my experience, so long as you pick the right nights, the talent separating the "wannabe" DJs from the established DJs is usually marginal at best. If you're getting a gig in a club and manage to pull a crowd, then chances are you must have some clue about what you're doing... |
