I don't understand the concept of trying to enter "the dating scene." just live your life hope somebody finds that appealing enough to live it with you. and if they don't, suck and die alone. :conf:

Some people just don't like being alone; they want a partner all the time, even if they know it's not exactly the right person. Either that, or they think that the more people they date and meet, the more likely they are to meet "the one"; which makes sense.

I agree with you though. I can't even begin to fathom how ing awful blind dates, Internet dating, speed-dating, setups, D&D balls and all of that are. If I'm ever single again I can't imagine getting involved with any of it.

D&D balls

You can meet girls at those?!

Wow, old thread.

I think the only advantage in those types of sites is everything is on the table... it's transparent... the parties involved know what each are there for. If the guy has $ and a hot gal wants a regular payout then it's best for him to know that up front rather than later.

LOL, no, I'm not a savant. I just have a really good long-term memory for words and phrases (for example, I looked up this thread by remembering that I used the word "ladies" in the OP).

I was being facetious mate. I know you're not a savant. Clearly just someone with remarkable book smarts!

JBJ do onions make you cry? Are they extra tasty because they're marinated in your tears?
